About Shackmaps

In 2024, unsatisfied with the current landscape of interactive video game maps, Shacknews began work on Shackmaps. Our goal was to offer a better option for both players and developers.

Shackmaps is a free, interactive video game map site that puts the player experience first. We do this by working with people who are experts with the games they’re mapping, maintaining our maps through continued updates and, where possible, working with developers to bring the best possible assets and insight to our projects.

When you sign up for Shackmaps with your existing Google or Apple account, you gain access to all of our features. Nothing is hidden behind a subscription. There are no paywalls. Shackmaps is always free for the player, allowing you to track your progress without having to dig into your wallet.
